I like how easy this is to use in quick situations or disposable situations, Sometimes needing to be mobile and not equipped with a high end mic is very important. This has good sound quality, mobile, over an hour of battery life, and a reasonable range (roughly 25ft for clear audio) starts breaking up pretty quick after that. Obstacles will interfere with distance as well, just something to keep in mind.

I really like this product as for using multiple devices, as I am able to record on both my phone with the lighting plug in as well as my ipad with the USB-C side. The sound quality is nice and can be used far distances. The reason for four stars and not five is that I notice with the cloth cover on the microphone and not the dust cover, the sound feedback has a bit of a haze to it- lacking the same clarity as the dust cover. It charges relatively fast and will stay charged for a good period of time. I do wish I had gotten one with some sort of carrying case as there are a lot of disparate parts to this.

This mic set is excellent! Unfortunately for me, while I was recording one day, a strong wind blew my tripod over while the receiver was plugged in and it was bent/broken (as pictured), so I can no longer use the set --however, while I was able to use this mic set, I really enjoyed it! It was incredibly easy to get going with my DSLR camera and my iPhone. The receiver has a 3.5mm, lightning, and usb-c option, so you can use it with multiple cameras and phone types.The 3-way adapter also makes it easy to transition between DSLR recording and a more on-the-go phone recording, while keeping the same great audio quality.The windscreens also did a great job. It was obviously VERY windy when I was filming, and the audio was still great. I plan on getting a replacement!

I have tried a few brands of these phone ready lapel mics. I chose to try this one for the ability to plug into a 1/8" mic input on a video switcher to record right to the video as an option at my desk. Others could plug into my computer via USB-C but I don't usually use computer based recordings anymore. The video includes the sound from the lapel mics with the receiver plugged directly into the video switcher with HDMI cords/plugs right next to the receiver so the sound seems to have some interference. Then I change to the studio mic which you expect ot be better then I switched to a phone shot with me talking and the sound is also better than attached to the video switcher. So that was a bit of a let down for me since that was the main reason I wanted to try this one. I will continue to look into that ability so I can get by with a smaller setup but who knows. Lastly is the issue of recharging. With everything nowadays being rechargeable it is irritating to have cables attached to the smallest items and finding a place to plug them all in. Then you have to make sure they are changed before using them. Other lapel mic sets have charging storage cases so I can store them and they stay charged. Works way better than this does. It will do the job and the sound from the phone recording was definitely good enough for simple video podcasting.
